US military destroys 16 Iranian boats

The US military destroyed 16 Iranian minelaying boats near the Strait of Hormuz. This was announced on March 10 by the US Central Command (CENTCOM). The strikes followed reports of Iran's intention to mine the Strait of Hormuz, through which oil tankers pass from the region. Reports tengrinews.kz.
US President Donald Trump also confirmed the destruction of the Iranian vessels on his social media. CENTCOM released a video showing the strikes on the boats. The Strait of Hormuz, one of the most important corridors for oil transportation from the Middle East, has barely been used by civilian ships since the start of the war between Israel, the US, and Iran.
On the morning of March 10, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps stated that as long as US and Israeli attacks continue, they will not allow a single liter of oil to be exported from the region. Following this, relying on US intelligence, it was reported that Iran was preparing to mine the Strait of Hormuz. Donald Trump warned Tehran of unprecedented consequences for this action.
It is worth noting that Israel and the US launched major attacks against Iran on February 28. On the first day of military operations, Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and a number of high-ranking officials were killed. He was succeeded by his 56-year-old son Mojtaba Khamenei. In response, Iran is also striking Israeli territory and US military bases in the Middle East.
