How did Khaminai's son escape death?

According to an audio recording provided by The Telegraph, Iran's new Supreme Leader, Mujtabo Khamenei, barely survived an Israeli missile strike, while his father, Ali Khamenei, died after leaving his targeted residence just minutes before the explosion.

It is said that the recording contains messages from Mazoher Hosseini, the head of the protocol service of the head of state's office, to high-ranking clergy and commanders of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. In a leaked statement, Hosseini says that on the morning of February 28, Mujtaba Khamenei was in the same complex with his father, accompanied by his wife and son. It is reported that shortly before the explosion, he went out into the yard on business and was outside when the rocket hit the building.

"He went out into the courtyard on some errand, and while he was looking up from an open space, the rocket hit the building," Hussein reportedly wrote in the inscription. He added that Mujtaba Khamenei suffered a minor leg injury in the explosion. According to the same statement, the attack was coordinated, targeting several parts of the office complex simultaneously, suggesting that the operation may have been aimed at eliminating several members of the Khamenei family.

The reported leak arose at a time when assumptions about the new leader's physical condition and managerial abilities were growing. Since the beginning of the war, Mujtaba Khamenei has not appeared in public. His first statement within two weeks was only published in writing, which intensified questions about how serious his injuries were and whether he was capable of fully exercising power.

US Secretary of Defense Pete Heggett said that Mujtabo Hamaney was wounded in the explosion and his appearance may have been significantly damaged. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Arakchi denied such assumptions, stating that the new high-ranking official is safe and sound and maintains full control over the situation.

This news adds another layer of uncertainty to the already unstable regional crisis. It is said that Washington offered a reward of up to $10 million for information about him, which indicates that international attention has been drawn to the Iranian leadership after the blow, which allegedly killed one of the country's most powerful figures.
