The cities of Dimona and Arad, located in the southern regions of Israel, suffered serious damage from Iranian missile strikes. According to the latest data, about 90 people were injured in the attack. Among them are those in serious condition - the condition of at least 10 people, including a five-year-old girl, is alarming.
It was reported that Israel's nuclear infrastructure was seen as the main target of the attacks. However, it was noted that the Nuclear Energy Research Center, located approximately 10 kilometers from Dimona and 30 kilometers from Arad, was not seriously damaged. This means that a possible major catastrophe has been prevented.
At the same time, the International Atomic Energy Agency called on the parties to exercise "maximum military restraint" to prevent escalation of the situation. Experts believe that such attacks could pose a serious threat to nuclear security.
As a result of the attacks, many residential buildings in Dimona and Arad were damaged. Some houses were destroyed, and it is reported that infrastructure facilities were seriously damaged.
According to the Times of Israel, the Israel Defense Forces has launched a special investigation to determine why the two missiles fired by Iran were not shot down. Military experts emphasize that missiles of this type typically carry hundreds of kilograms of explosives, causing significant destruction.
Israel's rear command is also conducting a separate investigation into the incident. It is being investigated that dozens of people were injured and significant material damage was caused.
According to reports, since Saturday morning, Iran has carried out at least eight missile strikes on Israeli territory. This indicates that the situation is escalating.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu expressed a firm stance in response to these attacks. He emphasized that the country will continue to deliver powerful and systematic strikes against the enemy on all fronts. At the same time, he assessed Saturday evening as one of the most difficult and challenging nights in the campaign for the future of Israel.
For now, the situation remains highly tense. Experts emphasize the importance of finding a diplomatic solution to prevent this conflict from escalating further.
