In Turkey a 61‑year‑old man declared himself “Jesus Christ”

In the Turkish city of Karabuk, 61‑year‑old Mahmud D. declared himself “Jesus Christ” and wrote a series of inscriptions on the walls and roof of his house. His writings included the words “Christ,” “Prophet,” “35,” “66,” and “Jesus.” This was reported by the “Milliyet” newspaper.
It is noted that the incident occurred on Baglar Street in the Bayir neighborhood. After complaints from neighbors, police and city authority officers arrived at the scene.
The officers demanded that Mahmud D. remove the inscriptions. Afterwards, he took paint and erased the writings on the grille himself. The writings on the roof of his house were also removed.
Mahmud D. gave a precise explanation of his actions, saying, “They wanted to bring out false Christs and defame me. This is not a joke. Allah sent me a revelation. I have been saying this for years. That is, I have been on this path for many years. In the Ispr district of Erzurum it was like sugar was falling from the sky to the earth in our area.”
He also said that since about six or seven years old his family has been surrounded by some forces, and that this event started 5‑6 years ago.
Mahmud D. stated: “Now Jews are waiting for Jesus Christ from the lineage of David, Christians are waiting for Mary’s son — me, that is, Jesus Christ. Muslims are also waiting for Jesus Christ.”
