Bloody attacks in Lebanon: Hezbollah promised devastating strikes on Israel

The situation in the Middle East is becoming more complicated. After the latest airstrikes on Lebanese territory, hopes for establishing peace in the region are under threat. Zamin.uz presents the latest details of the bloody clashes and the diplomatic crisis.

The fire of revenge is igniting: Manara was shelled

After the destructive airstrikes in Lebanon, the Hezbollah group announced that it will not remain silent and will give a proper response. On the night of April 9, strikes were carried out on the Manara kibbutz in northern Israel. Representatives of the group called this action a response to the “gross violation of agreements” by Israel. According to Hezbollah’s statement, as long as the aggressive policies of Israel and America continue, retaliatory operations will not stop.

Tragic losses: 182 dead

Information obtained from the Ministry of Health of Lebanon is shocking:

  • Dead: at least 182 people (including women and children).
  • Injured: about 890 civilians.
  • Destruction: not only military facilities but also civil infrastructure and residential buildings were seriously damaged.

Sharp reaction and concern from the UN

UN Secretary-General António Guterres strongly condemned the large-scale military operations in Lebanon. He emphasized that such attacks could destroy the fragile peace agreement that has just begun to form between the USA and Iran. UN spokesperson Stéphane Dujarric also noted that the bloodshed in Lebanon is a huge obstacle to regional stability.

Peace under threat: Tehran’s statement

At the moment, the greatest threat is the fate of the two-week ceasefire regime between Iran and the USA. Israel and Washington are not implementing this peace in Lebanese territory, which causes sharp protests from Iran. According to the Fars agency, Tehran is seriously considering the possibility of leaving the peace and canceling the agreements due to Israel’s continuing attacks.

The development of events in the Middle East shows that Hezbollah continues to support its ally Tehran. This indicates that achieving a peace agreement in the region remains a very complicated process.

Dear readers, do you think these clashes between Israel and Hezbollah will escalate into a larger regional war? What measures should international organizations take to protect civilians?
