Donald Trump issued a sharp warning to Iran over the Strait of Hormuz

U.S. President Donald Trump issued a new political statement regarding Iran. He called on Tehran to stop attempting to collect payments from oil tankers passing through the Strait of Hormuz and emphasized that such actions could lead to dangerous consequences for the global energy market.

In his statement published on the Truth Social platform, Trump said that information had come to his attention that Iran is charging fees from tankers. He strongly warned that such a practice must be stopped immediately and stated that if this information is confirmed, the situation could become seriously escalated.

In another post, the U.S. President also criticized Iran’s policy regarding the flow of oil through the Strait of Hormuz. He described it as “very bad management” and added that in some cases it could be considered unfair. According to Trump, this does not correspond to previously agreed rules between the United States and Iran.

The White House leader also once again confirmed that he will not allow Iran to obtain nuclear weapons. According to him, due to “the actions of Tehran,” such a possibility will not exist at all. At the same time, he expressed hope that oil flows will soon resume and said this will happen either with Iran’s participation or without it.

Earlier, it was reported that after a prolonged period of tensions between the United States and Iran, a temporary two-week ceasefire agreement had been reached. This somewhat eased the situation in the region.

However, although the Tehran authorities stated that they were ready to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, they also indicated their intention to keep it under control and collect fees from passing ships. This is causing new disputes on the international stage.

According to the analytical company Kpler, after the ceasefire announcement, only a few vessels passed through the strait, including two tankers under the Iranian flag.

Experts note that the Strait of Hormuz is one of the most important routes for global oil transportation. Therefore, any political or military tension in this region directly affects the global energy market. Previous escalations have already led to sharp increases in oil prices.

Analysts consider Trump’s latest statements as another stage of increasing pressure on Iran. The situation continues to be closely monitored by the international community.
