Britain withdrew from Tram's mission to block the Strait of Hormuz

Great Britain has refused to participate in the US-proposed operation for a possible blockade of the Strait of Hormuz. This was reported by Sky News, citing its source.
According to available information, the initiative put forward by Washington was aimed at ensuring the security of sea routes and controlling freedom of movement in the strategically important Strait of Hormuz. However, London preferred to stay out of this operation.
Earlier, US President Donald Trump stated that Britain might send warships to clear sea lanes of mines in the region. This caused wide discussion on the international stage.
A Sky News source, commenting on the position of the British government, noted that London will continue to support the freedom of international maritime navigation. At the same time, the importance of global economic stability and uninterrupted energy supplies was emphasized.
It is also reported that Britain, together with France and other partners, is working on creating a broad coalition. The main goal of this alliance is to protect the safety and freedom of maritime routes.
Trump had previously stated, after negotiations between US and Iranian delegations held in Pakistan, that strict measures would be taken regarding the Strait of Hormuz. According to him, US naval forces will strictly control all vessels passing through this region.
At present, the situation remains tense. The international community notes that any escalation around this strategic route could seriously affect the global energy market.
