A major forest fire has occurred in the eastern region of Kazakhstan, prompting an immediate response from rescue services. The incident was recorded on May 3 in the Ulan District of the East Kazakhstan Region.

It is reported that the fire broke out in an area belonging to the Primor forestry, near the Ayuda Gorge in the vicinity of the Bukhtarma Reservoir. Forces and assets from the country's Ministry of Emergency Situations, including aviation, have been deployed to combat the natural disaster.

Experts noted that the firefighting process was significantly complicated by the mountainous terrain and strong winds. Despite these challenges, a rescue helicopter performed 7 aerial water drops, releasing a total of 21 tons of water.

At present, no open flames are observed. Monitoring operations are continuing in the area, conducted by forestry personnel and emergency services specialists.
