Lexus is developing a new 7-seat electric SUV under the name TZ, daily-motor.ru reports. In 2023, the company registered two trademarks: TZ 450e and TZ 550e, indicating plans for a large electric vehicle.
The SUV will be built on Toyota’s next-gen EV platform, featuring dual motors and all-wheel drive, and is expected to offer a driving range of over 500 km.
The model will be available in 6- or 7-seat configurations. Renderings suggest a bold design with closed grille, unique front lighting, black roof, plastic body cladding, and a strong premium presence.
Production of the Lexus TZ will take place in Kentucky, USA, while battery packs will be manufactured in North Carolina. The vehicle is expected to debut in 2026, entering competition with Audi, BMW, and Mercedes-Benz electric SUVs.
