In Uzbekistan, singer Batyr Kadyrov has been fined 3 million UZS for copyright infringement, reports Nova24.uz. This decision follows a complaint by poet Shohruh Abduvahidov.
Poet Shohruh Abduvahidov, known by the pseudonym Abdusamiy, stated that Kadyrov used his poems "Dildora," "Qizgonaman," "So‘ngi nafasgacha," and "Sog‘indim yomon" without permission and without paying royalties.
An administrative protocol was drawn up against Kadyrov under Part 1 of Article 177 of the Administrative Responsibility Code, and the case was sent to court. The court imposed a fine of 3 million UZS. Previously, Kadyrov had been fined 1.8 million UZS for a similar offense.
