A new documentary film about the life and career of rapper Kanye West, titled “By Whose Name?”, has released its first teaser. The project was directed by Nicolas Ballesteros, who filmed Kanye West’s daily life, work, and personal struggles for six years, spending up to 15 hours a day on an iPhone.
Nicolas started working on the project at the age of eighteen, and nearly 3,000 hours of unique footage were collected. The documentary was produced by AMSI Entertainment and will be released on September 19 through AMC, Regal, and Cinemark cinema chains.
The film’s materials state that despite bipolar disorder, failed marriages, missing sponsors, and growing public negativity, Kanye created a billion-dollar brand while continuing to live as a highly controversial figure.
With a budget of 1 billion dollars, the film explores how Kanye West became the richest Black person in American history, detailing his work, decisions, and personal struggles.
The teaser and film not only show the rapper’s fame but also his human vulnerabilities, helping audiences understand Kanye West better. This project has generated significant interest among art and music enthusiasts.
