Legendary producer Jerry Brukheimer spoke to fans about his new projects. At the Variety Entertainment & Technology Summit in Los Angeles, he revealed that about 30 of his films are in development. Among them are the potential “Top Gun 3”, a new “Pirates of the Caribbean” film, and another “Formula 1” movie.
This summer, Brukheimer’s “Formula 1” film starring Brad Pitt and Damon Idris premiered, earning $624 million worldwide and achieving great success. According to the producer, the secret of its success is that viewers were literally immersed in the racing world, and the unique filming technology made them feel as if they were sitting behind the wheel of a race car.
“Our actors trained for four months to drive these cars. Racing at 180 miles per hour is very difficult, but they managed it,” Brukheimer said. Director Joseph Kosinski also expressed respect for the project’s outstanding execution.
He shared his thoughts on modern cinema: “Giving the audience a real reason to leave home and return to the theater depends on filmmakers. In cinema, just like in a restaurant, it’s important to offer something unique to the audience.”
