Hollywood star Jackie Chan is preparing to shoot the continuation of another legendary film. According to Kazakhstan’s Salem Entertainment studio, the famous actor will film the fourth installment of the “Armor of God” franchise in Kazakhstan.
The studio reported that Jackie Chan’s visit to Almaty at the end of September was related to scouting locations for the new movie — “Armor of God: Ultimatum.”
“We officially reveal the details of Jackie Chan’s prestigious visit to Almaty. The new part of the cult film loved by millions of fans will be filmed in Kazakhstan,” the studio’s statement said.
It is noted that the main filming will take place on the territory of Kazakhstan. The script and production details have not yet been disclosed.
It should be recalled that the first film of the franchise was released in 1986, the second in 1991, and the third (“Armor of God 3: Zodiac”) in 2012. In all of these projects, Jackie Chan served as both director and lead actor.
Earlier this spring, the actor also hinted at his possible participation in the sequel to the comedy “Rush Hour.”
