Hollywood star Jennifer Aniston openly admitted that throughout her life she made many attempts to have a child but never wanted to adopt one. She shared this in an interview on the “Armchair Expert” podcast.
The 56-year-old "Friends" star said: “Many people would ask me, ‘Why don’t you just adopt?’ But I always wanted to see my own DNA in a little human being. That was the only way for me — whether someone sees it as selfish or not, those were my true feelings.”
During the conversation, Aniston also spoke about her long struggle with infertility, painful discussions with doctors, and moments of hopelessness. “Sometimes I thought I could still have a child, but those hopes would fade very quickly,” she said.
The actress also recalled the emotional pain she felt when doctors told her that further attempts would be futile, noting that the process had a deep impact on her mental state.
In her well-known 2016 essay, Jennifer also touched on this topic, emphasizing that the value of life should not be measured only by marriage or motherhood.
