The director of the new "Formula 1" film, Joseph Kosinski, recalled the most dangerous and terrifying moment during filming. According to him, this scene was filmed at the Las Vegas Grand Prix.
In the center of the plot, former motorcyclist Sonny Hayes (Brad Pitt) returns to his career and tries to save his new team. The film also features scenes of Pitt driving during his November 2024 Las Vegas Grand Prix weekend.
According to Kosinsky, the most dangerous part of the filming took place in Vegas:
"It was a night race. The weather was very cold, the tires didn't stick well to the road. "The most difficult thing is that Brad didn't have the opportunity to train on this track before, because it opens only three days a year," said the director.
Unlike the Grand Prix in Las Vegas, there are no wide runways on the highway, so drivers are forced to drive close to the walls. "I really did punch him in Vegas. If he had made a mistake, he would have hit the wall. This was the most dangerous scene we had ever experienced. But Brad did it amazingly well," Kosinski added.
For reference, the film "Formula 1" became Brad Pitt's highest-grossing work in his career.
