Dostoyevsky's work brought to life in Tashkent

The Russian Drama Theater Festival called "Four Hearts" has concluded in Tashkent. This event brought together theater groups from different regions of the country.

One of the main events within the festival was a play based on Fyodor Dostoevsky's story "Bobok," staged by the Uzbekistan State Youth Theater. This was reported by the "Sputnik Uzbekistan" news agency.

The play "Bobok" draws the audience into unique events taking place in a cemetery. Here, even after being in the grave, conversations, debates, and searching for excuses for one’s actions continue.

This stage work explores perennial subjects such as morality and the meaning of life through the absurd dialogues of a cemetery. The audience highly appreciated the atmosphere of the performance and the depth of the director’s vision.

Russian drama theaters from the cities of Tashkent, Fergana, and Samarkand participated in the festival. The event was organized by theater producer Irina Khilkova, who worked with the support of Rossotrudnichestvo and the Ministry of Culture of Uzbekistan.
