Actress Feruza Normatova, in a video circulating on Instagram, expressed serious concerns regarding the work of doctors and the neurologist at Sergeli Maternity Complex No.1.
According to the actress, her close acquaintance gave birth in this hospital, but several problems occurred during the process:
“My close acquaintance gave birth at Sergeli 1 Maternity Hospital. We were in the mountains and were not informed. She suffered severely throughout the day. Because an inexperienced midwife came, the baby’s head was repeatedly hit. Later, a more experienced one was called, and although it was very difficult, they finally managed to deliver the baby. The baby’s head was bruised, and now the newborn is lying in the intensive care unit on oxygen. They didn’t even show the baby to the mother. When I visited that day, they said everything was fine and took pictures. Now I found out that the neurologist hasn’t checked on the baby even once.”
Normatova addressed the doctors of the maternity complex with the following questions:
“Where is the neurologist of Sergeli 1 Maternity Hospital? Is he relaxing in the Maldives? There are so many newborns lying in the ICU! What should we do? Shouldn’t this maternity hospital be inspected? Why is there such negligence? Will you come only after something happens to the baby? If we file a complaint today, they say he will come in 3–4 days.”
