Adam Sandler has been named the highest-paid actor of 2025 in a new Forbes ranking that looked only at movie earnings. The list did not include income from advertising, business projects or other outside work, focusing only on what stars were paid for film roles. Reports Rozetked.me.
The 59-year-old actor and comedian took first place with estimated earnings of 48 million dollars. Forbes said most of that total came from his work on Netflix projects, including “Happy Gilmore 2” and “Jay Kelly”.
Tom Cruise and Mark Wahlberg also finished in the top three among actors, while Brad Pitt was listed among the other leading names on the overall ranking. On the actresses’ side, Scarlett Johansson led the group, followed by Reese Witherspoon and Millie Bobby Brown, who was described as the youngest actress on the list.
The new ranking comes a year after Dwayne Johnson led the same Forbes list for 2024 with reported annual movie earnings of 88 million dollars. The latest results show how strongly streaming platforms, especially Netflix, continue to influence pay levels for major Hollywood stars.
