USSR leaders and brief interesting facts about them (video)

There have been several leading leaders in the history of the USSR (Union of Soviet Socialist Republics). Below are brief but interesting facts about them:

- Vladimir Lenin - was assassinated several times during his life, but survived. His body is still kept in the Lenin Mausoleum, embalmed.

- Joseph Stalin - wore high-heeled boots to hide his short stature. Millions of people were victims of repression (hard pressure) during his time.

- Georgy Malenkov - worked at a simple power plant after leaving power.

- Nikita Khrushchev - slammed his shoe on the table during a meeting in anger.

- Leonid Brezhnev - awarded himself many orders and medals.

- Yuri Andropov - checked people walking on the street during his working hours.

- Konstantin Chernenko - had difficulty giving speeches because of his illness. During his leadership, almost all decisions were made by others.

- Mikhail Gorbachev - the red spot on his head was his most famous symbol. He was one of the first Soviet leaders to improve relations with the West.

Each of the leaders of the USSR left a significant mark on his time.
