
The Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan has set new official exchange rates for foreign currencies effective from April 25, 2025. According to it, significant changes have been observed in the exchange rates of a number of major currencies.
It is noteworthy that the US dollar exchange rate has begun to grow again. This time, the dollar has appreciated by 36.74 soums, setting a value of 12,927.17 soums. Thus, the dollar's growth trend observed in recent days continues.
The euro, on the contrary, recorded a decrease today and fell by 3.29 soums. The official price of one euro is now 14,717.58 soums.
The pound sterling also appreciated, rising by 24.39 soums to 17,198.31 soums.
The Russian ruble fell slightly. The ruble fell by 0.31 soums to 155.73 soums.
The neighboring currency, the Kazakh tenge, rose slightly to 25.01 soums (+0.15 soums).
The Chinese yuan and the Japanese yen also showed mixed movements. The yuan appreciated by 4.28 soums to 1,772.76 soums, while the Japanese yen fell slightly to 90.75 soums (-0.10 soums).

These rates, set by the Central Bank, are used in official settlements in banks and financial institutions in the country. Changes in exchange rates can also affect the domestic market and foreign trade relations.
