Uzbek beekeepers have continued to strengthen their position in the international market in recent years. According to the State Committee for the Development of Veterinary Medicine and Livestock, from the beginning of 2024 to the first four months of 2025, our country exported 64 tons of honey worth $206,000.
The United States and Afghanistan are the main buyers
Almost 92 percent of exported honey was delivered to the United States. An additional 7 percent of honey was sent to the Afghan market. It is noteworthy that in 2025, honey exports to China were launched for the first time - this is noted as an important step towards entering new markets.
Bee packages - a new export hit
Not only honey - Uzbek beekeepers are also accelerating the sale of bee packages. From the beginning of 2024 to the first four months of 2025, 260 thousand packages of honey worth 5 million US dollars were delivered to foreign markets.
These products were mainly exported to countries such as Russia, Kazakhstan and Armenia, but this year Tajikistan was also added to the export geography.
The good news is that the export of honey packages increased by 1.5 times compared to the same period last year.
From the Zamin.uz editorial office:
Such positive changes in the Uzbek honey market indicate that the export potential of the agricultural sector is further increasing. Against the background of international demand for honey and bee products, new opportunities are opening up for local producers.
