According to our weekly analysis based on the exchange rates published by the Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan, during the last week of September and the first working week of October 2025, the value of 1 US dollar against the national currency — the soum — decreased by 99.99 soums.
Weekly dynamics
The dollar-to-soum exchange rate experienced certain fluctuations throughout the week. In particular, a significant decline was observed in the first half of the week:
Monday: -61.04 soums
Tuesday: -70.91 soums

This downward trend may be associated with international market dynamics, changes in import-export operations, and shifts in domestic demand.
In the second half of the week, the rate showed an upward trend:
Thursday: +16.34 soums
Friday: +15.62 soums
As a result, the overall weekly change of 1 US dollar was favorable for the national currency, ending with a decrease of 99.99 soums.
The Central Bank seeks to form exchange rates based on market mechanisms and to maintain stability in economic processes. Such currency fluctuations are viewed as indicators of the global economic environment, foreign trade volume, and domestic economic activity levels.
