The Cabinet of Ministers adopted a new resolution - now the production and circulation of alcohol, tobacco products, and ethyl alcohol will be controlled through a special automated system, the Legal Information Channel reported.
The document approved the Regulation "On the Procedure for Implementing an Automated Risk Analysis System for Monitoring the Production and Turnover of Consumer and Technical Ethyl Alcohol, Alcoholic and Tobacco Products."
With the help of the new regulation, state bodies will take full digital control over the processes in this area. This includes not only the processes of production and storage, but also the transportation, sale, and export-import of products.
The requirements apply to all business entities working with alcoholic and tobacco products - manufacturers, processors, distributors, and retail trade networks.
According to the document, the activities of each entity will be assessed based on the level of risk. Based on this, entrepreneurs are divided into three categories:
- high-risk;
- moderate risk;
- low-risk individuals.
Most importantly, suspending or obstructing entrepreneurial activity during the analysis process is strictly prohibited. It is expected that the introduction of this norm will not restrict the activities of entrepreneurs, but will serve to increase their efficiency.
Enterprises recognized as having a low risk will be sent a warning message through their personal account and recommendations will be given to eliminate the identified shortcomings.
According to experts, this system will not only strengthen the fight against counterfeit products, but also improve the transparency and competitive environment in the market. At the same time, it will be an important step in increasing budget revenues and protecting health.
Thus, the adoption of the Cabinet of Ministers' resolution became an important step towards raising control over the circulation of alcoholic and tobacco products to a new level and implementing digital reforms in the sector.
