Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan are implementing a joint project to increase the capacity of power transmission lines located in border regions. This was announced by the Minister of Energy of Kyrgyzstan, Taalaybek Ibraev, in an interview with the TV channel "Uzbekistan 24."
According to the minister, the three countries are carrying out these works with the support of the World Bank program. Modernized power grids will strengthen the region's stable energy supply and prevent disruptions.
Ibraev also noted that the implementation of the Kambarata HPP-1 project is of great importance for the entire region. The launch of the project will provide industrial enterprises with additional electricity, as well as the implementation of a number of food security programs.
