Man fined for eating a live snake in Zomin
A man who ate a live snake in Zomin district of Jizzakh region was fined. This was reported by the regional Ecology Department.

A video showing the man eating a live snake spread on social media. Following this incident, an investigation was conducted by the district ecology department and law enforcement officers, and the man's identity was established.

It was noted that K.H. violated the requirements of Article 4 ("Ownership of wildlife") and Article 30 ("Rights and obligations of wildlife users") of the Law "On Protection and Use of Wildlife" by his actions. Article 53 of this law defines liability, and Article 51 provides for compensation for damage.

State inspectors held the man administratively liable under Part 1 of Article 90 of the Administrative Liability Code ("Violation of hunting and fishing rules or other types of use of wildlife"), imposing a fine of 20 BHM (7.5 million soms). The damage caused to nature was estimated at 1.125 million soms.
