In the Tashlak district of Fergana Region, a Damas driver under the influence of alcohol hit an elderly cyclist and a five-year-old pedestrian at high speed. As a result, the 71-year-old man died at the scene, while the child passed away in the hospital.
The incident occurred on an inner road in the "Yakkatol" mahalla. The intoxicated driver first struck a 71-year-old man riding a bicycle and then veered into the opposite lane, hitting a child walking along the roadside with her mother.
A criminal case has been opened in connection with the incident. The suspect has been detained, and investigations are ongoing.
