Shahboz Sharif on Shavkat Mirziyoyev: "He transformed Uzbekistan again"

Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif called the fact that the poverty level in Uzbekistan has decreased and trade indicators have increased a miracle. He expressed this opinion on February 26 at a meeting with representatives of the media at the end of the Uzbekistan-Pakistan summit.

“If I am not mistaken, in 2016 the poverty level in Uzbekistan was 42 percent, and the trade indicators were also low. Today the poverty level has decreased to 8 percent, and the volume of investments has reached 30 billion. Isn't that a great miracle in itself?!”, - said the Prime Minister.

Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif spoke about the transformation of the country after Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev came to power.

“You have transformed Uzbekistan from the very first days of your presidency. You have rebuilt society,” the Pakistani Prime Minister said.

Shahbaz Sharif emphasized that such results cannot be achieved through lofty words or by organizing a good council.

“Miracles are created through clear vision, high dynamics, tireless work and a bold pursuit of a common goal. I have seen such great qualities in you,” he said.

The Uzbek President noted that the meetings were fruitful and emphasized that this historic visit opens a new page in the Uzbek-Pakistani strategic partnership. He highly appreciated the rapid development of bilateral cooperation in recent years. Follow “Zamin” news on “Telegram”
