Artificial intelligence advisor platform to be launched in banks

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has announced the launch of an "AI Advisor" platform within Uzbekistan’s banking sector to optimize the financing of small and medium-sized businesses. The initiative aims to address regional disparities in job creation efficiency, as the government has allocated 140 trillion soums to support entrepreneurial projects this year. This AI-driven system will provide entrepreneurs with data-backed solutions by analyzing market demand and project risks, while district-level bank staff will receive specialized training to utilize these technologies. By directing credit resources toward high-impact projects through this digital transformation, officials expect to generate an additional 36,000 jobs across the country.
Issues of transforming the banking system and supporting entrepreneurship in the regions were discussed at a meeting chaired by Uzbekistan President Shavkat Mirziyoyev. The Head of State emphasized the need for leaders to completely change their work style and outlook in the current conditions of intensifying global conflicts. It was noted that positive indicators in the first quarter should not cause complacency.
This year, 140 trillion soums are being directed through banks to develop small and medium-sized businesses. According to analyses, while up to 17-20 jobs have been created per 1 billion soums of credit in regions like Shirin and Uchquduq, this indicator is only 3 in Uchkoprik, Piskent, and Bo'stonliq districts. It was indicated that there is a possibility to create an additional 36,000 new jobs when credits are directed to effective projects.
Responsible officials were tasked with introducing an 'Artificial Intelligence Advisor' platform in banks. This system will analyze project parameters, risks, and market demand for entrepreneurs, providing ready-made solutions. Furthermore, the task of training bank employees at the district level in working with artificial intelligence technologies was set. The aim is to direct credit resources to projects yielding the highest efficiency.
