President Shavkat Mirziyoyev awarded the Khorezm farmer with an honorary title

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the fields of the Sobirjon Yusuf family farm in the Khanka district of the Khorezm region.

It was noted that its head, 73-year-old Oyimjon Otajanova, has been engaged in tree planting for more than forty years. Fruit and ornamental tree seedlings are grown on 3 hectares of the farm. Another two hectares are used for gardening. In addition, 40 types of flower seedlings are grown in a 12-hectare greenhouse. The greenhouse is equipped with modern water-saving technologies, and in each of its sections the necessary microclimate is created depending on the type and characteristics of the seedlings. More than 50 thousand seedlings are grown and sold per year. Their annual income exceeds one billion soums. The seedlings grown here are also delivered to neighboring regions, Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan.

It is emphasized that this year, the devoted farmer contributed to the "Green Space" project by distributing 2,000 pine seedlings to all schools and kindergartens in the district.

In cooperation with the Ministry of Employment and the bank, a training center has been opened in the adjacent territory of the farm. It teaches people how to earn income from unproductive plots of land in households throughout the year, based on their farming experience. As a result, the economy in the neighborhoods has expanded, and families are receiving additional income.

Considering these services, hard work and exemplary role models for the younger generation, our President decided to award Oyimjon Otajanova with the title of "Honored Agricultural Worker of Uzbekistan". Read 'Zamin' on Telegram!
