Man suffocates woman with pillow in Bukhara
A 25-year-old man in Bukhara suffocated his sleeping lover with a pillow, hid her body in the basement and fled the scene, reported the Supreme Court press service.

The man was married but had a relationship with a divorced woman, whom he met after helping her fix an appliance. They even traveled abroad together.

The woman demanded that he divorce his wife, which sparked a conflict. One night, he killed her while she was asleep and hid the body.

Her family searched for 10 days before reporting her missing. The suspect was arrested and confessed. He was sentenced to 11 years in prison under Article 97, Part 1 of the Criminal Code (premeditated murder).
