People who wanted to send for Hajj pilgrimage were caught
An operational event was conducted by the officers of the State Security Service's Sirdaryo regional department in cooperation with internal affairs bodies.

During the operation, an employee of a travel agency operating in Tashkent city was caught while receiving 12,800 US dollars from two citizens living in Boyovut district in exchange for sending them on a Hajj pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia.

During the pre-investigation inspection, it was revealed that two employees of this travel agency had gained the trust of citizens and implemented a fraudulent scheme to misappropriate their money under the pretext of organizing a pilgrimage.

A criminal case has been initiated under Article 168, Part 3, clause "a" of the Criminal Code, and a preventive measure in the form of detention has been applied to two of the offenders.

At present, investigative actions are ongoing, and necessary measures are being taken to identify other citizens who may have suffered from their actions.

In an operational event conducted in cooperation between the Fergana regional department of the SSS and the regional Department of Internal Affairs, a resident of Margilan city was caught with material evidence while receiving 11,000 US dollars from a citizen residing in the Tashlak district in exchange for sending him on a blessed journey to perform Hajj.

A criminal case has been initiated against this person under Article 25,168, Part 3, clause “a” of the Criminal Code, and investigative actions are ongoing.
