Attempted murder in Gulistan: Girl sentenced to 6 years
In Sirdarya region, a 19-year-old girl attempted to stab her boyfriend after discovering he had cheated on her, Nova24.uz reported. The incident occurred in the city of Gulistan.

Out of jealousy, the girl took a knife and stabbed the boy twice. He survived thanks to timely medical assistance.

The court found her guilty under Article 97-25, Part 2, Clause “v” of Uzbekistan’s Criminal Code (Attempted murder of a person who was clearly defenseless for the perpetrator).

The court took into account that the victim had no claims against the defendant. As a result, she was sentenced to 6 years in prison.
