Nearly 100 rental cars sold abroad, customs reveals

Around 100 rental cars registered in Uzbekistan were taken out of the country and sold in neighboring states, Uz24 reported citing the State Customs Committee.

According to the report, six individuals rented the vehicles from leasing companies and transported them across the border under a power of attorney before selling them abroad.

Currently, an investigation is underway in cooperation with customs services of neighboring countries to clarify the situation.
