A heartbreaking tragedy occurred in one of the private kindergartens in Bukhara region. On March 28, a two-year-old child died from electrocution. It has been officially confirmed that a criminal case has been launched, and the matter has been submitted to court.
Negligence led to a child's death
According to the Bukhara regional prosecutor's office, the incident took place in a private preschool in Bukhara district. It was determined that the caregiver, M.D., had left the children unattended, which led to the accident.
The investigation revealed that M.D. failed to fulfill her professional duties, including ensuring the safety of the children, following technical and fire safety rules, and taking into account the individual needs of each child.
Criminal case handed to the court
Following the preliminary investigation, a criminal case was initiated under Article 116, Part 3 of the Criminal Code of Uzbekistan (negligence causing the death of a child). On June 18, 2025, the case was transferred for court proceedings.
It is expected that M.D.'s actions, her negligence, and irresponsible attitude toward children's safety will be legally evaluated during the trial.
A child's life is a sacred value
This tragedy once again shed light on the gaps in the preschool education system, especially in safety matters. Kindergartens should be safe places where parents can confidently leave their children. Sadly, this trust is not always justified.
Questions arise in the public: "Is there enough oversight in private kindergartens?", "How are employees selected?", "Are they properly trained?"
Conclusion: Stronger control is crucial
This case proves the necessity of improving safety standards, increasing staff qualifications, and reinforcing monitoring in preschools. A child's life and health must be the highest value for both the state and society.
Fighting such cases requires not only punishment but also systematic training, prevention, and consistent supervision. Otherwise, more tragedies may follow. Read 'Zamin' on Telegram!
