A heartbreaking, tragic, and extremely serious crime occurred in the Bukhara region. A 68-year-old pensioner, Viktor Kuzeyev, stabbed his daughter-in-law while intoxicated, taking her life. This tragic incident became known to the public through court proceedings, writes the “NeMolchi” project, citing its sources.
According to the information, Kuzeyev was originally from Tashkent region and had long been known as a person leading a life associated with alcohol abuse. He was known for frequently arguing with neighbors and family members. This tragedy was also the result of one of such quarrels.
That day, Kuzeyev, in a drunken state, entered into a heated argument with his daughter-in-law. Due to the intensity of the dispute, the woman was forced to leave the apartment. However, the man took the opportunity to lock the door so she could not return. After some time, the daughter-in-law re-entered the house, and the conflict escalated further.
The argument turned into physical violence. The woman pushed her father-in-law and started hitting him with a roller. This enraged Kuzeyev — he went to the kitchen, took a knife, and stabbed her several times in the stomach and upper body.
Despite the pain, the wounded woman dragged herself out of the house and asked passersby for help. Medical assistance arrived upon an urgent call, but despite all provided efforts, the woman died in the hospital.
A criminal case was opened against him under Article 97 of the Criminal Code of Uzbekistan — intentional homicide. In court, Viktor Kuzeyev expressed deep remorse for his actions. He asked the court to consider his poor health and retirement age when making a decision.
The Criminal Court of Kagan city reviewed the case and, considering the severity of the crime, the death of the victim, and the defendant’s behavior, sentenced Kuzeyev to 7 years in prison.
The incident sparked wide public discussion, with many talking not only about the victim but the consequences for the entire family. This tragedy once again showed how quickly violence can lead to disaster, how a moment of rage can destroy a human life.
Local residents, lawyers, and activists expressed their opinions on the matter, emphasizing the need to resolve family disputes peacefully. Any escalation ends badly — especially in household relationships, where one must never forget personal responsibility.
Undoubtedly, this incident reminds us that government agencies and civil society must carry out preventive work. Because behind every crime is a ruined family, a life ended, and several destinies derailed.
This tragedy must become a lesson not only for law enforcement but for all of society. Because justice must prevail not only in the courtroom but in every household. Read 'Zamin' on Telegram!
