In the Fergana region, attempts to spread religious education among young people without supervision and licenses were firmly prevented. According to information released by the State Security Service, law enforcement officers managed to identify 4 cases related to illegal religious teaching in different districts of the region.
One of the cases identified was recorded in the Yazyavan district. Here, a 34-year-old citizen had been giving religious lessons to six underage children in his private home without any educational documents. It was proven that he did not have the appropriate diploma or specialization.
In the second case in the Kushtepa district, a 50-year-old woman living in the Mumtoz neighborhood was found to be providing religious education to four girls aged between 10 and 16 in her home. It was also discovered that she had neither sufficient knowledge nor a license.
In the Dangara district, a 62-year-old man from the Tangrikul neighborhood had turned his house into a religious learning center. It was revealed that he taught children aged 10 to 14 without a license.
Another serious case was registered in the Fergana district. In one of the learning centers located in the Vodiyil neighborhood, a 28-year-old citizen was teaching religious education to 28 underage children without any official permission or state supervision. This case is particularly concerning because such activities can influence the minds of young people and lead them astray.
Official documents were prepared by law enforcement agencies for each case. All identified materials were handed over to the judicial authorities. In addition, responsible bodies are planning to carry out wide-scale preventive measures in order to prevent such activities in the region.
Officials emphasized that any religious education must only be conducted in accordance with procedures established by the state and by licensed specialists. Otherwise, this may lead to civil liability and cause unrest in society.
Parents are advised to strictly monitor which educational centers their children are attending. In some cases, so-called “teachers” may actually harm the moral development of young people. These events have caused a major public reaction and are being seriously discussed by the local population.
The government and responsible agencies have begun to take strict measures against law violators in order to prevent such actions. This will help ensure that future generations grow up with a sound mindset.
