Sale of low-quality fuel from AYOQSH revealed in Tashkent

In Tashkent city, a situation of concern for vehicle owners occurred — at one of the private gas stations located within the city, it was discovered that diesel fuel not meeting standard requirements, in other words, of poor quality, was being sold.

This was reported based on the results of a scheduled inspection conducted by the Tashkent City Department of Uzenergoinspection, according to Energoinspeksiya.

During the inspection, samples of the diesel fuel being sold at the gas station owned by “Q.R.” LLC were taken in accordance with procedure for laboratory testing. The laboratory results showed that the product did not comply with state standards and was deemed to be of unsatisfactory quality.

This violation can not only cause technical damage to drivers’ vehicles but also poses serious risks in terms of environmental and public safety. Therefore, legal accountability measures were applied as prescribed by law.

Specifically, under Article 43 of Law No. 940 of the Republic of Uzbekistan, an economic sanction was imposed — 50% of the value of the sold product, totaling 24.1 million soums.

Additionally, it was strictly prohibited to sell the remaining stock of low-quality petroleum products currently stored in warehouses. Those responsible were instructed to reprocess the remaining product and bring it up to standard.

Representatives of Uzenergoinspection emphasized that systematic control measures would continue in order to prevent such situations from recurring in the future.

Citizens are urged to pay attention to the quality of fuel purchased at gas stations, to always request a receipt, and to report any suspicious situations to the appropriate authorities. This is important not only for one’s own safety but also for the safety of others.

This incident attracted unexpected attention among the public. Although it was previously stated that the quality of fuel products at operating gas stations across the country is under constant monitoring, this case shows that there are still unresolved issues in the system.

Reliable fuel is one of the primary requirements for safe and secure road travel. Therefore, in addition to government oversight, public monitoring is also essential.

It was reported that additional inspections are currently being carried out regarding this gas station, and legal measures will be taken for the identified violations.
