Those who abuse their children will no longer be able to escape punishment

Illiteracy, family disputes or mental illness — unfortunately, these are among the causes of children facing domestic violence, even in our country. Now, however, decisive state-level measures are being taken to combat such situations.

Recently, a government resolution was approved establishing a regulation on identifying cases of violence against children, ensuring their safety, and, if necessary, removing the child from the abusive parent.

According to this regulation, if a child is a victim of violence or at risk of such violence, they or their legal representative may contact the "Inson" centers, internal affairs departments, or other responsible authorities. These applications will now be reviewed promptly and seriously.

The "Inson" center conducts an initial assessment of threats to the child's life or health. The risk level is determined as "low" or "high". If deemed “high”, the following strict measures are taken:

The abusive person may be temporarily detained or face legal coercive measures;

A protection order is issued to the child or their legal guardian;

The strictest measure — the child is removed from the parent(s) or guardians and relocated to a safe place.

From that point, the child will remain under state supervision. Even if the threat is eliminated, the "Inson" center will conduct a deeper assessment within 14 days to minimize the risk of repeated violence.

It should be emphasized that this resolution marks a new stage in protecting children's rights in our society. Perpetrators will no longer be able to threaten or escape justice.

This cooperation between the government and civil organizations highlights that every child’s life is valuable. Every child deserves to grow up in love and peace — and this system is a key step to protecting our future generation.
