According to the Tashkent City Department of Internal Affairs, on August 3 at 11:50 PM, an attempt was made to steal a Paynet ATM located on Beshqayragoch Street in the “Khurshid” neighborhood of the Uchtepa district. After receiving the report, a rapid response team was dispatched to the scene.
As a result of the operation, three suspects — A.Sh., T.F., and Z.Z. — were detained. They were wearing gloves and head coverings, had removed the license plates from a gray Tracker vehicle, and tried to load the ATM into the car’s trunk.
However, due to its weight, the ATM fell, causing a loud noise. Realizing they had attracted attention, the suspects abandoned the ATM and fled. The Investigation Department of the Uchtepa District Police has initiated a criminal case, and the investigation is ongoing.
