According to the press service of the Tashkent City Internal Affairs Department, a person distributing narcotic substances was caught in the Sergeli district.
During a special operation conducted jointly by the internal affairs bodies and the State Security Service, a person was stopped and inspected. Packages containing 64 narcotic substances were found among his personal belongings.
It was established that this person had previously committed crimes 9 times, including convictions under the articles "Extortion," "Fraud," and "Theft" of the Criminal Code of Uzbekistan. A criminal case was initiated against him under Article 273, Part 5 of the Criminal Code of Uzbekistan regarding this incident.
According to this article, illegal production, purchase, storage, and sale of narcotic substances, as well as other related actions, are punishable by up to 20 years of imprisonment.
