In the Buka district of Tashkent region, a Matiz passenger car caught fire while in motion. According to the regional Traffic Safety Department, the incident occurred on August 15 at approximately 12:00 on the 35th kilometer of the D020 “Karasuv – Buka – Bekabad city” highway.
Reports state that while the Matiz, driven by a 1992-born driver, was moving, a short circuit occurred in the engine compartment, causing a fire. As a result, the front part of the interior and the engine area sustained significant damage.
The Traffic Safety Service noted that neither the driver nor the passengers were injured in the incident. Fire and rescue crews arriving at the scene managed to completely extinguish the blaze in a short period of time.
Currently, the Buka district Department of Emergency Situations is conducting an investigation to determine the cause of the fire. Officials advise drivers to regularly check the technical condition of their vehicles and promptly address any malfunctions in the electrical system.
