In the Syrdarya region, citizens who grossly violated the rules of fishing caused damage to nature in the amount of about 700 million soums. This was reported by the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change.
According to the information, the violation was revealed during a special raid conducted with the participation of the State Environmental Control Inspectorate, the Department for Control of the Syrdarya River Basin, the regional Department of the State Security Service, the Prosecutor's Office, and the National Guard.
The raid was carried out in the part of the river flowing through the territory of the "Terakzor" mahalla of the Gulistan district. It was revealed that citizens I.D., B.Y., and I.D., using an electric fishing rod and a rubber boat, illegally caught a total of 36 fish of various species. Most painfully, it turned out that among them there is also a rare species included in the Red Book of Uzbekistan - "Turkestan Mustache."
The total damage caused to the animal world as a result of the violation amounted to 694 million 220 thousand soums. It was noted that the relevant legal norms were violated in connection with the incident.
An official report was drawn up on the incident, and the caught fish and illegal weapons - an electric fishing rod, a rubber boat, batteries, an oar, a catcher, and a night lighting device - were temporarily confiscated in the appropriate manner.
