Ancient tools found in the Baysun Mountains revealed the secret of agriculture

The rich historical heritage of the Surkhandarya region has attracted the attention of world scientists with another important discovery. During archaeological excavations in the Toda Cave, located in the Baysun Mountains, remnants of ancient tools and wild grain crops were discovered.

During the excavations, stone sickles, plant seeds, and tools used for their processing were discovered. According to preliminary experts' conclusions, these findings date back to approximately 9200 years ago. This indicates that the people of the region at that time did not limit themselves to hunting and gathering, but also established early agriculture.

Archaeologists found not only seed remains, but also stone knives, various sickles, and other tools used for cultivating wild barley. Traces related to the processes of cutting and processing grain stalks have also been preserved on the surface of the weapons. This further increases the significance of the discovery.

A group of international researchers determined that the finds confirm the independent development of agriculture in the territory of Eurasia. According to Robert Spengler, a researcher at the Institute of Geoanthropology in Germany, this situation shows that agriculture was formed spontaneously not in a single territory, but in different regions of the world, including the Levant and Central Asia.

At the same time, archaeologists conclude that the tools found in the Toda Cave have similarities with those found in the Levant region and the Obishir-5 settlement in Kyrgyzstan. This once again proves that the ancient inhabitants of different regions independently discovered agricultural methods.
