In the city of Samarkand, a road traffic incident became the subject of wide public discussion. According to the information, the driver of a “Tracker” vehicle grossly violated traffic rules and hit a school student who was crossing the road at a pedestrian crossing. The most distressing thing is that despite the child falling, the driver, as if nothing had happened, continued her way and fled the scene. This was reported by the Regional Department of Road Traffic Safety.
Earlier, through a video recording that spread on social networks, the event became known to the public. In the footage, it can be seen that the driver of a “Damas” stopped to let pedestrians pass, but the driver of the “Tracker” coming from behind showed impatience, violated the law, and at that very moment hit the student.
Fortunately, the child did not receive serious injuries. However, such irresponsible behavior caused strong public outrage. Many assess the driver’s actions as “the highest point of negligence.” Because the safety of pedestrians, especially children, must be a priority for everyone on the road.
Operational investigative measures were carried out, and in a short time the identity of the driver was established. According to officials, the vehicle was temporarily placed in an impound lot.
Now measures will be taken against the female driver in accordance with the law. Article 137 of the Administrative Responsibility Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan stipulates the rules of “leaving the scene of a road traffic accident.” According to the law, such a violation may result in a fine of 15 basic calculation units — approximately 6.1 million soums.
This incident once again reminded drivers of the most important rule on the road — caution and responsibility. Because one moment of inattentiveness and unlawful action can lead to tragic consequences not only for the driver but for the whole society.
