Mubashshir Ahmad received a court verdict, his pages were blocked by court decision

Today, the Uchtepa District Criminal Court announced the verdict of the court of first instance in the criminal case against A.T. (born in 1974 in Namangan region). The accused was not previously convicted, but was held liable under several serious articles.

According to the court decision, A.T. was found guilty under part 2 of Article 156 of the Criminal Code - incitement of national, racial, ethnic or religious hatred, clause "g" of part 3 of Article 244-1 - preparation, storage, distribution of materials threatening public safety, and Article 244-3 - illegal circulation of materials of religious content.

Based on Article 57 of the Criminal Code (assignment of a milder punishment), the court calculated the punishment in accordance with Articles 59 and 61, and as a result, A.T. was sentenced to 2 years and 6 months of imprisonment. This sentence will be served in a general regime colony.

At the same time, according to the court's verdict, the following Internet resources, considered to belong to A.T. and operating in connection with him, were blocked:

- Mubashshir Ahmad's pages on Facebook and Instagram

- "Azon Global - Alternative Information and Analytical Channel" on Telegram

- Video channel of the same name on YouTube

This sentence has not yet entered into force. Parties dissatisfied with the court decision have the right to file an appeal or cassation complaint with the Judicial Collegium for Criminal Cases of the Tashkent City Court in the prescribed manner.
