"Motorcyclist Girl" sentenced to 3 days in prison

In Karshi city of the Kashkadarya region, a 25-year-old female motorcyclist was administratively arrested for 3 days for performing dangerous maneuvers and participating in a street race called “key to key” with cars, reported Qalampir.uz.

According to court documents, administrative proceedings were initiated against I.T., born in 2000, under several articles of the Administrative Responsibility Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan. She was found guilty of road hooliganism, disobeying lawful orders of internal affairs officers, and driving a vehicle without the required documents.

As a result, the court sentenced I.T. to 3 days of administrative detention. In addition, she was fined 25 times the base calculation rate — approximately 10.3 million soums.

It was also revealed that a young man named Sh.O., born in 2003, participated in the race called “key to key.” He was likewise found guilty of road hooliganism, disobeying the orders of law enforcement officers, and petty hooliganism. According to the court’s decision, Sh.O. was sentenced to 5 days of administrative detention, deprived of the right to drive all types of vehicles for one year, and fined 10.3 million soums.

According to the case materials, the incident became known after a video was shared on social networks. The footage showed the girl organizing a motorcycle race with cars, sparking heated discussions among users.

Blogger I.T., who is known on social media, later commented on the situation in her story and admitted her mistake. She said she did not know that participating in “key to key” races could be considered promoting gambling.

“They said I was causing trouble at night and encouraging gambling. I didn’t know that ‘key to key’ races were viewed as gambling promotion. Now I know. My motorcycle was taken to the impound lot,” she said in her story.

Experts note that in recent times, cases of road hooliganism among youth have increased, often driven by adrenaline or the desire for social media attention. Such actions are not only violations of the law but also serious risks to life.

Law enforcement authorities are calling on citizens, especially young people, to strictly follow traffic regulations and not to endanger their lives for the sake of video challenges.

The incident in Karshi has caused significant public debate and once again brought up the issue of responsibility and respect for the law on social media.
