The crime that occurred in the Kasan district of the Kashkadarya region shocked everyone. A nurse working at a polyclinic belonging to the district medical association twice tried to sell a 3-year-old girl. A criminal court verdict has been issued regarding the incident.
The incident first occurred in 2023. It turned out that a nurse who colluded with her mother sold the girl, born in 2020, to another woman for 19.7 million soums. In addition, he received a bribe of 2 million soums for obtaining a birth certificate for the girl.
Two years later, in 2025, he tried to sell her again. This time, he conspired with a 60-year-old man and was caught by law enforcement agencies while selling a girl to another citizen for $15,000.
During the court proceedings in the Kasan District Court, the nurse was guided by the Criminal Code:
Part 3 of Article 135 "Human Trafficking" (committed against a minor)
He was found guilty under part 2 of Article 168 "Fraud committed by prior conspiracy."
According to the court verdict, the woman was sentenced to 2 years and 6 months of imprisonment and was forced to pay a fine of 30 times the base calculation amount. The man who conspired with her was sentenced to 3 years of restricted freedom.
According to the court, the girl's condition is currently good. She is being raised in an orphanage in the Kitab district.
