A court verdict has been issued in the case of violence that occurred in front of a nightclub in Tashkent. This was announced by the press secretary of the Supreme Court, Aziz Obidov.
In the case considered by the Mirzo-Ulugbek District Criminal Court, citizen Akmal Shukurov was found guilty. According to court documents, he was charged with intentional infliction of grievous bodily harm, fraud, and hooliganism.
Shukurov was sentenced under Article 104, Part 2, Clause "e" (intentional infliction of grievous bodily harm), Article 168, Part 4, Clause "a" (fraud), and Article 277, Part 3, Clause "g" (hooliganism) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The court sentenced him to 8 years and 1 month of imprisonment.
The assigned sentence is served in general regime colonies. At the same time, the parties were informed that they have the right to appeal the verdict in the appellate or cassation procedure to the Tashkent City Court.
According to the court materials, the crime occurred on the night of March 16, 2025, at approximately 2:30 p.m. A conflict broke out between Akmal Shukurov and his acquaintance Khurshid in front of a restaurant in the Yakkasaray district.
During the conflict, Shukurov hit 35-year-old Boris, who was trying to calm them down, and inflicted serious injuries. The victim was hospitalized with a traumatic brain injury, a torn face wound, and alcohol poisoning. Doctors performed a five-hour operation to save her life and induced her into an artificial coma.
After the crime, Shukurov fled the scene and hid for several days. Shortly after, he was detained in Kazakhstan and extradited to Uzbekistan.
The official representative of the Supreme Court, Aziz Obidov, noted that although the case caused great public interest, the court considered the case fairly, ensuring the rights of all parties.
According to lawyers, this verdict once again demonstrated the inevitability of punishment for crimes such as violence and hooliganism in public places. This serves to increase legal awareness and responsibility, especially among young people.
Although the court verdict can be amended until it enters into legal force, the evidence collected regarding Akmal Shukurov's actions fully proved his guilt.
Law enforcement agencies remind that any person who violates public order, commits violence or fraud will be held accountable before the law, and no one can escape punishment.
