The operation of a clandestine vodka workshop in the Ellikkala district of the Republic of Karakalpakstan has been suspended.

During an operational event conducted jointly by the State Security Service and the National Guard, it was revealed that citizen N.D. and his accomplices were engaged in the production of alcoholic beverages in an apartment on the territory of the "Ikhlos" mahalla.
During the raid, from the underground workshop:
21,250 counterfeit excise stamps,
480 liters of alcohol,
1,954 counterfeit QR-code markings,
10,000 labels,
134 units of counterfeit vodka "Qaratau,"
equipment and other inventory items used for production were confiscated as material evidence.
According to the investigation, the suspects prepared products and then planned to sell them to large stores and warehouses.
On this fact, a criminal case was initiated under Articles 176 (counterfeiting money, excise stamps or securities, their sale) and 25, 186-1 (illegal production or circulation of ethyl alcohol, alcoholic products) of the Criminal Code.
