The terrible road accident that occurred in the Jizzakh region once again demonstrated how important it is to strictly observe traffic safety rules. According to the regional Department of Internal Affairs, the incident occurred on November 21 at approximately 11:50 PM on the M-39 Tashkent-Termez highway of international importance, passing through the Fayzobod neighborhood of Sharof Rashidov district.
It was reported that the driver, born in 2003, residing in the Chirakchi district of the Kashkadarya region, did not comply with the requirements of signs 2.4 "Give way" and 4.1.2 "Traffic on the right" installed on the road when leaving the gas station located on the Samarkand side in an ISUZU truck. He went out onto the roadway to turn from an undesignated point towards Tashkent.
At that very moment, a Lacetti, driven by a driver born in 2002, residing in the Altinsay district of Surkhandarya region, hit a truck traveling along the Tashkent-Samarkand highway with great force. After the collision, a fire broke out in the engine compartment of the Lacetti, and the car completely burned down.
As a result of the accident, the Lacetti driver and four passengers in the car died at the scene from their injuries. It was impossible to save their lives.
The Investigative Department under the Jizzakh Regional Department of Internal Affairs has initiated a criminal case under Article 266, Part 3, Clause "a" of the Criminal Code, and an investigation is underway.
